If you have been to *SCAPE Youth Park, chances are that you have walked past Trapped SG before. They offer 3 different exciting themed rooms every period of time so do check out their website for the room rotations available. Fun fact: The success rate of escaping has been capped at only 17% so far so make sure to put on your thinking hat before you challenge yourselves!

2. Amazing Chambers

Different from the many escape room places that circles around mystery or horror, the rooms at Amazing Chambers focus on specially curated ancient history and culture of Singapore. 3. The Escape Artist

Out of all the escape rooms littering Singapore, The Escape Artist is the longest-standing out of the bunch. They take pride in being the groundbreaker for the themed room games and offer one of the most distinctive themes and plots for all their games. 

So what makes them different? The Escape Artist has eliminated staff helpline and instead introduced the new Hero system where elements of roleplaying are infused into the game. 4. Freeing SG

Freeing SG was the first at bringing 5D escape room experiences in Singapore. Available in ten countries across the world, this future-forward escape room franchise revolves mainly around fantasy-based themes like Poseidon, Jurassic, Twilight and The Enchanted Wardrobe. 5. Captivate Escape

If you ever catch yourself in a dilemma thinking of interesting venues to host a birthday party at, Captivate Escape might be able to put a stop to your woes. The rooms at Captivate are designed based on the drawings of professional puzzle designers and the aid of a Psychology PhD. More often than not, extra time is needed to complete the mystery so do come prepared!

There are a total of 7 rooms with unique tricky features to choose from at every visit – Alien VS Human, Murder on the Singapore Express, Kellar’s Magic Emporium, FBI: Zero Hour, CSI, Labyrinth: Dead Men Walking and Black Out.

6. Xcape

In this world, there are two groups of people. One who loves anything thrilling and one who would prefer being able to sleep at night without feeling like someone is watching over them. If you fall into the former group of people, The Morgue, Train to Busan, Annabelle and the Shutter Island rooms should be at the top of your list.

If you would rather not step out of your comfort zone or are having children as company, you would be pleased to know that they also have funtasy genre games like Kungfu Panda X and Mission X – The Love Confession.

7. Lockdown Escape

Lockdown Escape features a very adorable bear mascot on their walls and offers bear-themed game plots which are exquisitely pulled off. Expect the rooms to be filled with cleverly thought of props and decorations that blend in with your chosen games very well.

True to their bear theme, Lockdown currently has 3 bear-centric games – Bearcraft: Dreamworld, Bears of Justice and Bearry Potter and the Secret Doors – where an unlimited amount of hints are provided. While you are here, do also try out two of their virtual reality (VR) escape games, ILLUSION and Abandoned Mine! The Abandoned Mine is known to be extra challenging as oxygen supply depletes with every passing second as you are left to figure out how to make the old elevator work again. How exciting is that!

8. Escape Hunt

Escape Hunt is an acknowledged global leader in the escape room industry and has the most branches spread out worldwide. The Singapore outlet was the second opening after it opened its doors in Bangkok, Thailand. The games here are family-friendly, making it a great spot for some family bonding on the weekends or during school holidays.

Largely playing on murder-mystery games, the rooms at Escape Hunt touches more on solving mind-boggling puzzles than scaring players out fo their wits. Games offered at the Escape Hunt include The Whitechapel Murderer, The Secret Assignment and 27 Club.

9. LOST SG Escape Room

The 5 available themed games at Escape Room has an average of 5.2 stars out of 6. This means they are either really challenging or terrifying. LOST SG is big on the ambient lighting and sound effects which gives the perfect setting for immersive experiences to take place.
